CABO Yachts Joins Sponsorship of 5th Annual Big Game Room at Miami International Boat Show from Feb. 14-18, 2008
ADELANTO, Calif., Dec. 18, 2007 – As one of the main attractions at the Miami International Boat Show, the Big Game Room lures both spectators and exhibitors alike to a tradeshow unlike any other. Located on Level 2 of the Miami Beach Convention Center, the Big Game Room will open its doors Feb. 14, 2008 and will offer a wide range of activities and exhibits to anyone and everyone who enjoys the bluewater.
For the first time in the Big Game Room's brief, but successful history, CABO Yachts, a leading world-class sportfishing yacht company, is joining renowned publications, Marlin and Sport Fishing Magazine, in sponsorship of the event. “The Big Game Room has become one of the best big game fishing exhibits in the world,” states Jim Renfrow, v.p. sales and marketing of CABO Yachts. “With our shared passion for big game fishing, it is only natural for CABO Yachts to be part of this event. And, standing side-by-side with Marlin and Sport Fishing magazines, we could not be in better company.”
CABO Yachts is particularly excited to be a sponsor this year because of the Big Game Room 5th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 5 p.m. With the theme, “Anglers Opening Doors for Children,” the night will include a silent and live auction benefiting the Dan Marino Foundation, specifically the Marino Autism Research Institute (MARI). “We are extremely proud to be involved with this event and the Dan Marino Foundation,” states Renfrow. “Considering that 1 out of every 150 children born is diagnosed with some form of autism, the need to assist the Institute is very important to us. We can't think of a better or more deserving organization to which to donate the proceeds.” All proceeds from the benefit will go directly to the Foundation.
The Big Game Room will serve as an information and registration area for the new CABO CUP, which is an award presented by MarineMax and CABO Yachts, to the CABO owner who scores the most points by participating in designated fishing tournaments in Florida. Additionally, there will be a large assortment of CABO Cargo for sale; the official gear of CABO Yachts. CABO Yachts will also have representatives on-hand to answer questions and to distribute product literature highlighting their expansive collection of both express and flybridge models. CABO Yachts will have its entire line of sportsfishers from 32-52 feet at its in-water display located on pier 5 of the Sea Isle Marina, at 1635 N. Bayshore Drive.
